My American Spirit

Last year I visited some family in upstate New York. We went over to Bennington, Vermont and went to a local museum where I found this great statue "The American Spirit: Faith, Hope, and Charity."

200 hundred Chipper points (and some marzipan) to the best caption.

I know!!! It's so weird, and at so many diffrent levels. I think it dates from the mid-19th century. I don't know much more about it.

In response to Mikey's caption: "Now darling close your eyes, our son is going to service me now."

I think I saw that statue the first time on Rotten.com. They also have some rather amusing Jesus-and-schoolboy-fellatio stained glass window and Catholic school textbook pictures...
