I'm still getting to my Dan Savage story.

Today while I was cleaning old files on my hard drive I came across my files for my briefly lived 'zine "Hidden Fruits." Below is a column I wrote about one of my most hated people in the Denver Metro area, Bob Enyart.


There is much hate mongering in the world and I don’t want to add to it. However sometimes there are some whose hatred is so virulent that I think it appropriate to showcase them and their ignorant, belligerent ideologies. It’s not so much of my own ill-will that I do this, but just a caveat for the people of the world.

Bob Enyart
“Greetings to the brightest audience in the country. This is Bob Enyart, defender of truth, justice, and the American Way. I am the nation's most popular self- proclaimed right-wing religious fanatic, homophobic, anti-choice talk show host”. So starts Bob Enyart’s daily diatribe of hate.
The nation’s most popular right winged religious fanatic, is based right here in Denver. In the early ‘90s you could check out his cable access call-in show on channel 18 (or whatever channel LeSea broadcasting came in at your house). The fucker must have been kicked off the air because now he’s only on KLTT 670 AM @ 8:00 pm. Enyart is the fringe of an already extremist right wing. He advocates for the execution of women who have sought abortions, adulteress, and juvenile deliquesce, gays and lesbians, or anyone else he deems unworthy. Here he writes about his plan for the Christian overthrow of the Government (Perhaps he hasn’t been paying attention lately). Also check out his related site www.shadowgov.com “What the Fuck” I can hear you say wasn’t that November 2000 (or this past November?) No, for Enyart Bush is “too liberal”, and hasn’t proven himself a man because he has not smited all his enemies, yet.
In the mid '90s Enyart had a little problem with the Jerfferson County social services; they locked him up. "I love my children more then I fear social services" stated Enyart while sitting in a cell in Golden, Colorado. He likened his situation of protest for parental rights against the "godless government" to the great martyrs of the bible. Enyart must have been oblivious to the fact that Jeffco in a very conservative county (especailly reading potenial child abuse investigations) and most likly faverable for his cause. " Traditional father is, by definition, a child abuser if he spanks his children the way all of the Patriarchs fathers were themselves spanked and then spanked their own children" said Enyart in an undated interview.
